In his role as Resident Chemist at the municipal baths, Dr. Stockmann has no idea he'll discover a frightening coverup As the truth comes out, Stockmann's family try to reason him out of revealing the dreadful secret — and ruining all their lives But Stockmann has his own flaws: arrogance, aloofness, and a fatal inability to consider both sides of an issue
